Having spent his early years in Choolaimedu, Binu expressed his intention to evade the limelight by living underground in Karur for three years. However, he was taken aback upon returning to Chennai to celebrate his 50th birthday, finding himself surrounded by police. Despite managing to escape initially, Binu eventually surrendered at the office of Ambattur Deputy Commissioner, Sarvesh Raj IPS, around 9 am on Tuesday. Following this, he was taken to the Mangadu police station for further investigation.
The birthday bash, attended by prominent gangsters, saw a filmy gangster-style celebration with rowdies attempting to cut cakes using sickles. The police seized 15 motorbikes, 7 cars, and 88 mobile phones, marking a significant bust in the city's criminal underworld. Binu's surrender underscores the city's ongoing efforts to maintain law and order, with Sarvesh Raj IPS leading the charge against organized crime and violence.
